Our Mission is : To bring oil painters together in the Hinterland —sharing brushes, stories, and the life-changing magic that happens when oil paints meet canvas under open skies.
Group organiser Sylvie Carter convenes the paint outs every second Friday of each month and some other special dates. Each paint out is at a designated location on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
Local artists and visitors to the region are most welcome to join in. Artists bring their picnic lunch and refreshments so they can settle in for a full day of painting, just like the revolutionary Impressionists who abandoned their studios for the outdoors and chasing the perfect light
