Our Mission is : To bring painters together in the Hinterland sharing brushes, stories, and the life-changing magic that happens when oil paints meet canvas under open skies.
Group organiser Sylvie Carter convenes the paint outs, usually the first friday of each month. Each paint out is at a designated location on the Sunshine Coast of Australia and the group has its own Face Book page where they post interesting stories, articles and event dates and locations.
Local artists and visitors to the region are most welcome to join in, just like the revolutionary Impressionists who abandoned their studios for the outdoors and chasing the perfect light.
Artists bring their picnic lunch and or the group often pops into a cafe nearby. So whether you’re seasoned artist or just starting your artistic journey, you will be painting alongside a passionate group of artists who will make you feel welcome and help you get set up the right way.
